In celebration of American Craft Week, galleries, studios and businesses throughout Mendocino County will open their doors with special shows, events and demonstrations featuring beautiful handmade crafts produced here in Mendocino County. The event is self-guided and visitors can navigate the back roads and not miss any of the wonderful treasures our local craftspeople have to offer.
The tour begins the weekend of October 5-7th with gallery openings in Ukiah, Fort Bragg, Point Arena and Gualala on First Friday. Anderson Valley events will be the 6th and 7th. Many of these shows continue throughout the month.
The following weekend October 13-14th the celebration continues with events happening in Mendocino and Little River for Second Saturday with many of these shows continuing through the month.
American Craft Week is a nationwide celebration of handmade American crafts and the people who make them. Galleries, schools, museums, artists, guilds, and libraries across the country will be holding events showcasing American craft.
