Pacific Textile Arts will be hosting its (4th Annual?) Fiber Fair with a First Friday opening Oct. 5 5, 5 to 8pm, is the Best of Fiber Fair sale in our gallery. Most of the artists with booths in the classroom will also be open First Friday. Saturday Oct. 6, 10am to 4pm is the textile rummage sale in our courtyard and 10 -12 artists booths selling new and gently used textile related things in the classroom.
Rachel Binah’, a member of Partners Gallery in Fort Bragg, will demonstrate how she makes paper jewelry with unconventional materials during American Craft Week in October. Binah is known for her large paper constructions. She has applied the same techniques in jewelry made from some of the materials she uses in her larger work. “It’s all a matter of scale” says Binah. “I enjoy working from the miniature to the massive.”
At 1 pm on the afternoon of Saturday, October 6th Rachel Binah will demonstrate how she makes ‘ jewelry’ with unconventional materials at Partners Gallery.
